Johnson Outdoors Inc. (JOUT) swung to a net loss for the quarter ended Sep. 30, 2016. The company has made a net loss of $2.13 million, or $ 0.21 a share in the quarter, against a net profit of $1.17 million, or $0.12 a share in the last year period.

Revenue during the quarter dropped 12.53 percent to $74.94 million from $85.67 million in the previous year period. Gross margin for the quarter contracted 80 basis points over the previous year period to 38.55 percent. Operating margin for the quarter stood at negative 6.57 percent as compared to a positive 1.33 percent for the previous year period.

Operating loss for the quarter was $4.93 million, compared with an operating income of $1.14 million in the previous year period.
